Earlier this week I receive an email from Heidi. She just recently heard about the Morning Center and immediately began wondering: what could she do to help?
Her first idea was to use the talents and resources that she has. At first she thought this might be a challenge since the closest Morning Center pilot city to her is still 425 miles away. But, she hasn’t let that stop her.
You see, Heidi likes to quilt. So, she’s organizing a group of ladies to begin making quilts even now for the babies that will be brought in to this world with the help of the Morning Center. How’s she doing this? First, she’s talking to the local quilt shop to see if they can donate needed materials. Next, she’s organizing a luncheon with the ladies from at least two local Churches to kick off this new project! They’re also inviting ladies who like to knit and crochet, so there will be a wide variety of types of warm blankets. While they work they’ll fellowship and pray over each blanket, especially for the little baby who will someday be snuggled inside of it. And, Heidi hasn’t stopped there…at every local business or Church she talks to about the Morning Center and the Quilt project she’s asking them to put our brochures and flyers out for everyone to see.
I am overwhelmed with her passion to help the Morning Center’s vision come to fruition and can’t wait to see pictures of the first quilt (which we’ll post up for you to see also!). In the meantime, would you keep Heidi and her team in your prayers? And, would you consider joining them or using your talents in a different way to support the Morning Center?

That is awesome. I might ask my friend who used to knit blankets for babies at the hospital where I “birthed” babies if she would like to make some.
